You found the door. 🚪
Welcome to Ashlandia Dark Forest, a corner of the woods for everyone exploring our storyworld.
Whether you live in Ashland, are passing through, or create from somewhere far away, there’s a place for you here.
The Dark Forest is our community home base: a place to celebrate the unfolding seasons, meet fellow Creators, share what you’re making, and add your voice to our collaborative story. We’re still discovering everything this space can become, and we’d love for you to help shape it.
New to Ashlandia?
Ashlandia is a travel adventure that unfolds across two worlds: the Ashland, Oregon you can see, and the Ashlandia that begins to appear when you choose to play.
One town. Two worlds. Many maps.
Twelve stories are collaboratively shared throughout the year. Each has its own Guide and adventures woven through Ashland’s real districts: Downtown, Railroad, Theater, Green and Wild, and University.
Ashlandia is created by Artnow, our 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and rooted at White Rabbit Creator Clubhouse. A few simple ideas hold it all together:
The door is open to everyone.
Story is our map.
And you are both the author and the hero of this adventure.
What can you do here?
Join the current story.
Find gatherings, trail walks, workshops, and seasonal celebrations.
Meet residents, visitors, and Creators from across the Forest.
Share projects that belong in the world we’re building.
Add yourself to the Creator Scroll so others can find you.
Leave a trace. Your notes, artwork, ideas, and field reports become part of the Atlas of Ashlandia.
This place is still growing, so you may encounter a few rough edges. Ashlandia Dark Forest is meant to feel a little wild and handmade.
Tell us what would make this space more helpful, more welcoming, and more magical.
If you need anything, message Cynthia here in the Dark Forest or come find us at White Rabbit Creator Clubhouse in Ashland.
We’re glad you found your way here.
With big magic,
The Ashlandia Team 📖
